Michigan’s Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) Law is under attack. Our “Red Flag Law” allows judges to order that guns be removed temporarily from someone who has become a threat to themselves or others. In its first year, our law has been used to take 300 guns out of dangerous situations. That saves lives – by helping to prevent suicides, domestic violence, school shootings, and more. House Bills 4138, 4139, and 4140 would repeal these laws.
