Oppose MI Republicans' Big Bad Budget Bill

The Michigan Legislature must pass a new appropriations bill by September 30th to fund the state government for fiscal year 2026. Failure to pass a budget will lead to a state-level government shutdown starting on October 1st, 2025.
MI House Republicans have proposed and passed a budget...but their budget will (among other things) defund the state police and cut Medicaid by 50%, including major cuts to funding for hospitals.
Not only that, but they're trying to sneak policy changes into a budget bill by prohibiting the Attorney General from filing lawsuits against the Trump administration. (The Attorney General is part of the Executive Branch and does not need legislators' permission to do her job.)
Demand that your representatives in the state House and Senate pass the Senate budget, and oppose any budget that cuts vital services to Michiganders.
